In February 2009, Front Royal celebrated the 10th Anniversary of being named the "Canoe Capital of Virginia."   On August 15, 2009 we hosted the On the River '09 festival.  The festival was such a success that we are organizing another one this year!  More information about canoeing on the Shenandoah, opportunities to contribute toward the health of our rivers, and the rich heritage of our community will also be added to this website in the coming months.  We believe we live in one of the most beautiful places on the planet and look forward to sharing it with you.  Come for a visit, stay for a lifetime!
